Autumn is the perfect time to get out and about in North Devon, miles of walking trails cover coastal cliff tops, cross over farmland and wind through woodlands. A picture-perfect way to take in all the beauty that this time of year holds, the warmth of the autumn colours and the hazy sunshine will soon make you forget the cooler temperatures. If you prefer to cosy up inside and hibernate there are a wealth of pubs, tearooms and cafes to retreat into.
Autumn is a wonderful time for a romantic escape or a break with friends, a great time to avoid the crowds and enjoy a slower pace of life. The local beaches are the ideal spot for catching the simply stunning sunsets.
Right on our doorstep, Saunton is an idyllic three miles of spectacular golden sand, plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy the last of the summer surf, at this time of year the swell is back and the surf is fantastic! The sea temperatures haven’t dropped just yet, cold water swimming is well known for its health and wellbeing benefits. Saunton is also a dog-friendly beach all year long, with loads of space for them to roam and have a good run around!
