We are lucky enough to have some of the most beautiful scenery and countryside to admire here in North Devon …


But if you get a little tired of walking through heather covered moorland and lazing on golden sandy beaches then you might like to visit some of our top ten attractions for families. There’s something here for everyone and our top ten pick is a great place to get started:

Exmoor Zoo

Search for the Exmoor Beast and come up close with creepy crawlies at this award-winning zoo on the edge of Exmoor with an exciting range of wildlife from around the world.

Big Sheep

There’s heaps of fun to be had at the home of Devon’s largest rollercoaster! Make friends with farmyard animals, watch sheep racing and try your hand at archery tag, you won’t be bored here.

Milky Way

The Milky Way has North Devon’s biggest indoor play area with assault courses and slides built for adults and children. Plus live shows and a funfair are all included in your entry fee.

Watermouth Castle

A beautiful Victorian castle with an eclectic collection of treasures to look at as well as a dungeon labyrinth, water show, rides for children of all ages and landscaped gardens too.

Air Extreme

A fun and exhilarating indoor trampoline park and café, the only place to ‘get some air’ in North Devon.

Cobbaton Combat Collection

It’s not every day you get the chance to have a good look at a vast collection of military equipment from the second world war is it? You can even touch and interact with some of the exhibits.

Lynton and Barnstaple Railway

Travel back in time and take a ride on a beautifully restored steam powered train with heritage carriages through stunning Exmoor countryside.

Quince Honey Farm

Get a good look at bees and how their hives run at the world’s largest honeybee exhibition, then let the kids play in the indoor play area while you sample some of the fruits of the honeybee’s labours.

North Devon Wake Park
